BitFenix Unleashes Prodigy

Supporting long graphics cards, tower coolers, and even water-cooling radiators, the new BitFenix Prodigy mini-ITX chassis is suspended by two handles on the top and bottom that are made with BitFenix FyberFlex Composite. Coated in SofTouch Surface Treatment, these handles provides protection against shock while traveling.

Housing up to five 3.5-inch HDDs or 2.5-inch SSDs, the BitFenix FlexCage makes the Prodigy perfect for a home server, HTPC, or NAS. When its middle portion is removed, long graphics cards up to 320mm in length can be accommodated. Or, make room for a thick 240mm water cooling radiator by removing FlexCage and the ODD bay.

The overall casing  size, positioning of major components and the given leeway for proper airflow make the Prodigy a rather ideal compact system chassis for a new-age compact enthusiast PC. We spied more of it in action while we were at the Computex show floor:-

In case you're wondering the demo board used within the Prodigy casing, it's the ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe/WD mini-ITX motherboard (and its VRM daughtercard).

Available in Midnight Black or Arctic White, the BitFenix Prodigy comes with an affordable price tag of US$79 and will be in stores early June.
