BenQ's new 27-inch GW2780T monitor puts eye health first

Eye strain is disruptive, and doubly so if your work relies on long hours at a computer monitor to get things done. BenQ just released a larger variant of its Eye-care Monitor to counter precisely that, and help its users have a more comfortable, yet productive time.

The BenQ GW2780T is a 27-inch monitor with built-in eye health-related features. One example is BenQ's Brightness Intelligence Technology, where it automatically adjusts the monitor's lighting based on the user's environment and adapts brightness or enhances darker areas of the display without overexposing the subject.

Another quality-of-life perk is the adjustable height and stand that allows for flexible tilt, pivot, and swivel, all of which contributes to finding the proper viewing distance and correct sitting posture for each user.

Hardware-wise, the IPS panel comes with Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution), 1000:1 native contrast, has 5ms response time, and can display 16.7 million colours and up to 72% of the NTSC colour gamut. The monitor features two 2W speakers integrated within, a headphone jack, and an audio line-in port. The HDMI port uses HDCP 1.4, and it comes with a 100 x 100mm VESA wall mount too. If you're a DisplayPort user, it also offers DisplayPort 1.2 compatibility.

The BenQ GW2780T is officially retailing at S$339, and you can find it at their official store on Lazada. The monitor's official product page on BenQ's website lies here.
