BenQ has today announced the local availability of the W11000H, a 4K projector that supports HDR and 3D.

An updated model of the W11000 we saw in 2016, the W11000H’s design is unchanged from its predecessor, which means it’s still a big, black, 14.8kg piece of kit. It also uses the same DLP 4K UHD DMD chip (which has a native pixel resolution of 2,716 x 1,528 pixels) and fast switching via an optical actuator to achieve the 4K resolution. THX certification, a 14-element, 6-group lens array with H/V lens shift and 1.5x zoom, BenQ’s CinematicColor tech for 100% Rec.709 (81% DCI-P3) coverage, built-in ISFccc calibration, support for optional Panamorph Paladin anamorphic lenses, 2,200 ANSI lumens brightness - all the nice bits we like about the W11000 are all present on the W11000H, too.

The W11000H does come with HDR10 support this time, a feature that was missing on the earlier model. BenQ says the new projector has an Auto HDR Natural Color Rendition tech to make the reds and greens look more natural, and a Cinema-Optimized HDR tech to preserve dark details.

The W11000H is also compatible with 3D content. It'll play nice with a variety of 3D formats, including frame sequential (up to 720p@120Hz), frame packing (up to 1080p@24Hz), side-by-side (up to 1080i@60Hz), and top-bottom (up to 720p@60Hz). Connectivity-wise, you still get two HDMI ports, and only one of them supports HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2.

The BenQ W11000H is now available at a recommended retail price of S$7,299. You can buy it from Projectial Pte Ltd at Sim Lim Square or Home Cinema Pit Pte Ltd at Oxley Bizhub.
