The BenQ TK800 is a bright and affordable 4K projector
BenQ has just announced the TK800, an HDR-capable 4K UHD projector priced affordably at S$2,099.
In addition to the 4K resolution (achieved using a 4-way XPR pixel-shifting tech on a full HD chip), other standout specs of this DLP projector include a high 3,000 lumens brightness and 92% coverage of the Rec. 709 color gamut, the latter made possible by the company’s RGBW color wheel. Other amenities include a 1.2x zoom lens, a 5W built-in speaker, and two HDMI video inputs (1 x HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 and 1 x HDMI 1.4a with HDCP 1.4).
The budget 4K home projector also offers dedicated Football and Sport modes. According to BenQ, Football mode “preserves natural skin tones while intensifying lush green grass, simultaneously clarifying the announcer’s commentary among the cheering crowd of an open-air stadium”, while Sport mode additionally “prioritizes realistic skin shades while enhancing wood tones and vivid reds along with balanced greens and blues for indoor sports, with clear acoustical quality for the announcer’s voice and details such as squeaking sneakers, referee whistles, and ice scraping under skates”. Along with the high brightness, the projector should appeal to sports fans who crave for a large screen to watch their favorite sports on as well as those who need a projector for a room with ambient light.
The BenQ TK800 will be available in June on the BenQ Brand Store on Lazada.
