BenQ will be launching two new monitors with ePaper feature for comfortable on-screen reading.

The 24-inch GL2480 and 27-inch GL2780 monitors will sport this unique feature that is accessed from the display’s on-screen menu.

It simulates an e-book display mode to provide “clear black and white reading layout”, and a suitable brightness level.

The monitors have run-of-the-mill specifications, i.e., they feature TN panels with full HD resolution, and 16:9 aspect ratio. There’s no support for AMD FreeSync or NVIDIA G-Sync technologies, so they aren’t intended for PC gamers like the 31.5-inch BenQ EX3203R or the BenQ Zowie XL2546.

The monitors do have a slew of other eye-care features like low blue light, flicker-free feature, automatic brightness-level, and color vision weakness mode. Though the last feature isn’t new, this mode allows users with color vision deficiencies to tweak red and green colors for better viewing.

Find out more about the GL2480 and the GL2780 displays here, and here. We will keep you updated on their local availability and prices once we get more information.
