Belkin unveils new wireless chargers, power bank and USB PD fast chargers

Mobile accessory maker Belkin today announced its latest portfolio of wireless chargers, USB-C power banks and fast-charging power delivery wall chargers at CES 2018.

Boost Up Bold

The Boost Up Bold.

The first new wireless charger is the Boost Up Bold, which is Qi-certified for full functionality with all Qi-enabled devices up to 10W. Having said that, it is fine-tuned for charging the iPhone 8/8 Plus/X safely up to 7.5W and designed to provide Samsung wireless-charging phones up to 10W. It is bundled with the power adapter and comes in four colors (white, blue, midnight and millennial pink). It is slated for retail availability in spring/summer 2018.

Boost Up Wireless Charging Stand

The second new wireless charger is the Boost Up Wireless Charging Stand, the perfect solution for consumers who want to charge their devices in portrait or landscape orientation. Similar to the Boost Up Bold, it supplies up to 10W for all Qi-enabled devices, comes bundled with a power adapter and is available in the same color options. Retail availability is scheduled for spring/summer 2018.

The third new wireless charger is the Boost Up Wireless Charging Car Universal Mount. It is adjustable to accommodate different phone sizes while the presence of an extra 1A USB port allows simultaneous charging of an additional device.

Boost Up Dual Wireless Charging Pad

The fourth new wireless charger is the Boost Up Dual Wireless Charging Pad. Unlike the Apple's AirPower which can charge up to three devices (iPhone, Apple Watch Series 3, upcoming wireless charging case for the AirPods), the Boost Up Dual Wireless Charging Pad can charge up to two Qi-enabled devices simultaneously. There is 10W dedicated output on each side for fast wireless charging. It does not come with a power adapter and will retail sometime in summer 2018.

Boost Up Wireless Charging System

The fifth (and last) new wireless charger is the Boost Up Wireless Charging System, which is marketed as a commercial-grade Qi-charging pad for conference rooms, lounges, hotels or any retail locations. It provides up to 10W for all Qi-enabled devices and has versatile mounting options (top-mount, flush-mounted and sub-surface mount). Its availability is slated for summer 2018.

Pocket Power power banks

The Pocket Power USB-C 10K.

Belkin also released a lightweight power bank, the Pocket Power USB-C 10K. It can deliver fast charging to Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0-enabled devices, which means a battery can be re-charged from 0% to 80% in 35 minutes. The Pocket Power USB-C 10K has a non-scratch chassis so that it will not scratch devices. The power bank is bundled with a USB-A to USB-C for re-charging.

The two other new products from Belkin are the Home Charger 27W and Dual Port Home Charger 39W + USB-C to USB-A Cable. Both devices support USB Power Delivery (USB PD) which allows a safer, faster charging and more power for larger devices without the need for a separate power supply.

The USB-C Home Charger 27W has one USB-C port to charge larger devices such as Ultrabooks, MacBooks and tablets. The Dual Port Home Charger 39W + USB-C to USB-A Cable delivers 27W to the USB-C port and 12W to the USB-A port for maximum flexibility. Both chargers are available in summer 2018.
