Audeze launches Euclid, planar magnetic in-ears for true audiophiles (Updated)

Audeze Euclid.

If you want in-ear headphones with next to no compromises to sound quality, Audeze has the Audeze Euclid to sate your desires.

The brand is better known for its other audiophile products like the Audeze LCD-1 planar magnetic reference headphones. They have decided it's high time they made an in-ear alternative to their planar magnetic goodness. That's basically how the Audeze Euclid came about.

Audeze said that the Euclid is a closed-back planar magnetic in-ear headphone made for wired use, although the company plans to produce wireless versions of the Euclid later this year. Currently, the wired variant comes with gold-plated MMCX universal connections for its included braided cable.

Audeze Euclid's planar magnetic drivers are 18mm in size, with Audeze's proprietary Fazor waveguides help eliminate phasing and distortion typically found in closed-back headphones. It's proprietary magnets, and voice coils are also built with the same purpose in mind. Audeze claimed that these in-ears have the highest dynamic range for its product type, with its spec sheet touting 105 dB/1mW sensitivity and a maximum sound pressure level of 120dB.

While the housing is made from aluminium, the buds aren't, and they are compatible with different ear tips: silicone ones by Audeze or Spinfit, and Comply foam tips. The tips are replaceable, too.

If you're already familiar with Audeze's stuff, you know these won't come cheap. The Audeze Euclid is currently available for sale internationally at US$1,299 (~S$1,727). Limited sets are available since each batch is handcrafted.

The Audeze Euclid will be available in late March at a price of S$1,999. However, if you pre-order now, you can get it at a promo price of S$1,799.

You can pre-order it from AV One's store on Lazada or from AV One's online store.
