ASUS ZenFone 4 Max comes with a 5,000mAh battery and dual rear cameras
Initially planned for release at the end of this month, ASUS just announced the first member of the ZenFone 4 lineup - the ZenFone 4 Max.
With the same model name of ZC554KL, ASUS offers the ZenFone 4 Max in various configurations. They are two different models powered by different processors; one comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 while the other runs on Snapdragon 430. There are different models with different storage options ranging from 16GB to 64GB, and all of them come with a memory card slot. The different models also have different amount of RAM up to 4GB.
Putting aside these different configurations, the ZenFone 4 Max is equipped with a 5.5-inch Full-HD IPS LCD display and a massive 5,000mAh battery which is much larger than the 4,100mAh battery in the ZenFone 3 Max. Though the bundled 10W charger will take 4 hours to fully charge the battery, a 15-minute charge is stated to provide up to 3 hours of talk time on the ZenFone 4 Max.
Another key highlight of the ZenFone 4 Max is the dual rear cameras. It has dual 13MP lens with one regular angle and another wide-angle. The wide-angle lens comes with a 120-degree field of view. The front-facing 8MP camera can take 140-degree selfie panorama.
Other specs include a metallic chassis, a physical home button which doubles as a fingerprint sensor, Android 7.0 with ASUS Zen UI and dual-SIM support. The ZenFone 4 Max comes in black, pink and gold. So far, ASUS only released the pricing in Russia; it costs RUB 13,900 (~S$324) for the model with Snapdragon 425, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage space. The full price list and availability of the models in other markets are not available at the time of publication.
