ASUS makes a bewildering array of 14-inch notebooks and the latest model to join their lineup is the new ZenBook 14X OLED.

The highlight is obviously the display. It's a 14-inch OLED display with slim bezels, a resolution of 2800 x 1800 pixels, and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

ASUS says it supports 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space and that its performance is validated by Pantone. Also, it's TUV-certified for low blue light emissions.

In terms of design, it looks like any other recent ZenBook. The maximum thickness is 16.9mm and its weight is 1.4kg, which makes it one of the heftier 14-inch ZenBooks. It can also fold flat.

Inside, it's powered by Intel's Core i7-1165G7 processor and it comes with 16GB of memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD.

Customers have the option to order it with integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics or discrete graphics in the form of NVIDIA's GeForce MX450.

It has a pretty good selection of ports. There are two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a single USB-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader.

Finally, it also has a customisable secondary display that ASUS calls ScreenPad.

Availability and pricing

The ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED is available now. The model with integrated graphics (UX5401) is S$2,198 while the model with discrete NVIDIA graphics is (UX5400) is S$2,398.
