ASUS has just launched two new ROG networking devices for gamers. One is its first-ever ROG-branded mesh networking system, so let's talk about that first.

The mesh networking system is called the ROG Rapture GT6 and it's a Wi-Fi 6 tri-band system capable of delivering speeds of up to 10,000Mbps.

It delivers speeds of up to 574Mbps on its single 2.4GHz band and speeds of up to 4,804Mbps on each of its two 5GHz bands.

Speed, however, is just half of the equation. Latency is equally, if not just as important. And so, the ROG Rapture GT6 features a QoS system that lets you prioritise your gaming devices and gaming data.

As for ports, the ROG Rapture GT6 features a 2.5G WAN port, three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, and a single USB-A USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.

It also supports port aggregation so you can combine two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports to create a fast 2Gbps LAN connection with compatible devices.

The new ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro is an update to the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 router from 2018.

This is still a Wi-Fi 6 tri-band router capable of delivering speeds of up to 11,000Mbps. The single 2.4GHz network can hit speeds of up to 1,148Mbps while both of its 5GHz networks can deliver speeds of up to 4,804Mbps.

The big improvement here is its connectivity. It now has a 10Gbps port that can be used in WAN or LAN operation. This lets it work with a fast 10Gbps fibre plan or a high-end NAS system.

It still has a 2.5G WAN port that can also operate as a regular Gigabit WAN port, four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, one USB-A USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and another USB-A USB 2.0 port.

Like the ROG Rapture GT6 mentioned above, this router also has technologies to minimise latency by prioritising game devices and gaming data.

Another update is its processor. The old GT-AX11000 had a 1.8GHz quad-core processor, this new router has a slightly faster 2.0GHz quad-core processor that ASUS claims can increase maximum network throughput by up to 18%.

Availability and pricing
