The ASUS ProArt PQ22UC is a portable 21.6-inch 4K OLED display
4K displays are generally reserved for desk-bound workstations, but ASUS just made one that you can carry around with you. First announced at CES 2018, the ASUS ProArt PQ22UC is a 21.6-inch 4K OLED display for those who want a top-notch display for the road.
A portable 4K display probably doesn't rank high on the list of things you need, but the idea of one is actually pretty cool. The ProArt PQ22UC boasts a 10-bit OLED display with 99 per cent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, which is far better than the vast majority of monitors out there.
It sort of borders on overkill, and the 3,840 x 2,160-pixel resolution and its compact 21.6-inch size mean that text and images appear super crisp and sharp. Colors appear bright and vivid as well, and I can see this coming in handy for traveling professionals who require a good display. The OLED screen looks great, with deep blacks and excellent viewing angles.
To cap things off, ASUS has listed official support for HDR10.
The display has a peak brightness of 330 nits and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, which is pretty decent. In addition, it boasts a 0.1ms gray-to-gray response time, so you shouldn't notice any problems with motion blur.
It supports HDCP 2.2 as well, and features two USB-C ports (DisplayPort over Alt Mode supported) and a Micro-HDMI input.
The ProArt PQ22UC is also pretty slim, and it comes with a detachable stand, which means you can easily lay it flat for collaborative purposes.
