ASUS has formally announced the Mini PC ProArt PA90, a cylindrical PC that packs plenty of power in a really compact chassis. We first got a glimpse of it at Computex 2018 and subsequent ASUS events, and it comes equipped with the latest 9th-generation Intel Core processor, NVIDIA Quadro graphics, and liquid cooling for the CPU.
The system will take either an Intel Core i9-9900K or Core i7-9700K, and will support up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, two 512GB M.2 PCIe SSDs, and a single 1TB HDD. On the graphics front, you can opt for an NVIDIA Quadro P4000 or P2000 card. ASUS designed the PC for content creators, and it hopes it’ll find use in things like video and photo editing, CAD workflows, and real-time photorealistic rendering.
ASUS says it’ll release pricing information at a later date, so more detailed specifications should also be available then.
The ProArt PA90 also boasts a rich selection of connectivity options, including two USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-A ports on the front and separate mic and audio jacks. Round the back, it features another two USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-A ports, up to four DisplayPort 1.4 outputs depending on the graphics card, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and one Ethernet jack.
To cap things off, the system is outfitted with an all-in-one liquid cooler for the CPU, which supposedly helps reduce overall fan noise.
Finally, the PC measures just 176 x 176 x 365mm, so it’ll fit onto even the most cramped of desks.
