ASUS introduces new ExpertWiFi business routers at Computex 2023
Further expanding its business offerings, ASUS announced two new routers at Computex 2023, the ExpertWiFi EBM68 and EBR63, designed specifically for commercial use. The ExpertWiFi EBM68 is a tri-band AX7800 mesh system ideal for mid-sized businesses or multi-story spaces like hotels or retail stores. On the other hand, the ExpertWiFi EBR63 is a dual-band AX3000 router suitable for small offices, or home offices (SOHOs).
The ExpertWiFi series of routers will bring unique features to the business router ecosystem such as Self-Defined Network (SDN) capabilities, VLAN, and VPN support for enhanced protection of business data, streamlined network expansion options, space-saving designs, and easy device management through a new ASUS ExpertWiFi app.
SDN allows users to separate and prioritize devices with up to five SSIDs. A Scenario Explorer can allow anyone to easily set up their networks by selecting a scenario that best suits their business, automatically adjusting advanced features in just a few steps, and creating polished guest portals and separate networks for employees and IoT devices.
The ExpertWiFi routers offer multiple VPN protocols, including L2TP/IPSec, PPTP, Open VPN, and WireGuard, to ensure advanced protection. These routers also come with AiProtection Pro powered by Trend Micro, providing cybersecurity solutions to safeguard businesses and connected devices from cyber threats.
The routers also offer a backup WAN feature, enabling users to connect their ExpertWiFi devices to their Android or iPhone via USB cable and use their mobile hotspot for the entire local network when internet services are not available on-premises.
The ExpertWiFi series is expandable, with more products like access points, wired VPN routers, and managed PoE+ switches in the pipeline, giving businesses the flexibility to mix and match various topologies and combinations to suit their specific requirements.
The ExpertWiFi EBM68 and EBR63 routers will be available in Singapore from the third quarter of 2023.
