ASUS' dual 13-megapixel ZenFone Selfie launches this Saturday

ASUS is the latest smartphone brand to jump on the selfie bandwagon with the new ASUS ZenFone Selfie, which will be launching this Saturday (26th September) at all ASUS retailers for S$399. However, from 26th September until 31st October, you'll be able to pick one up for a promotional price of S$379, bundled with a free LolliFlash accessory (worth S$17.90). The ZenFone Selfie will come in three colors: Pure White, Baby Pink, and Tiffany Blue (for the guys, that means white, powder pink, and pastel blue, and you’re welcome).

The ZenFone Selfie builds on the success of ASUS' popular ZenFone 2 and shares much of the same design including a 5.5-inch Full HD screen and an ergonomically curved rear. Where the phones differ is the Selfie's new 13-megapixel front-facing camera with its f/2.2 lens. This wide-angle lens has an 88-degree field of view, and a duel-LED flash, making it ideal for selfies and group selfies (wefies?). The dual flash combines yellow and white light, ensuring natural skin tones, even in poor lighting.

The other area the Selfie differs from the ZenFone 2 is its processor. Instead of the ZenFone 2's Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor, the Selfie sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor. Oh and it now has a removable battery.
