According to TalkEsport, ASUS has announced that it’s now a Verified Solutions Partner of Unity Technologies, the Danish-American video game software development company best known for its Unity game engine used on many platforms and games.

In short, being a Verified Solutions Partner means that ASUS is able to ensure its SDKs, plugins and any other services for Unity developers comply with and are optimised for Unity’s latest standards and releases.

Also, Unity-using game developers can now download the ROG Phone SDK from Unity’s Asset Store. This allows them to take full advantage of five key functions on the ROG Phone when they design their games, including the ROG TwinView Dock (for dual displays), ROG Kunai Gamepad, Aura RGB lighting, refresh rate control and performance boost mode.

Interestingly, in addition to confirming the plugins work with the ROG Phone II, ASUS also says that they will work for the ROG Phone III. This seems to be the first time the company has publicly name-dropped its upcoming ROG handset.

The ROG Phone III, for those unaware, is expected to feature the Snapdragon 865 SoC with 12GB of RAM and support Wi-Fi 6. Rumours also have it that ASUS will announce this phone within the next couple of months.
