Arlo evolves their Cloud storage plans to store footage from an unlimited number of cameras

The new Arlo Secure price plans.

It’s goodbye to Arlo’s Smart Elite and Smart Premier Cloud plans, and hello to the new Secure and Secure Plus plans.

According to the company, their new Arlo Secure and Arlo Secure Plus plans include the features from Arlo Smart plans, with the added benefit of unlimited camera cover for whole-home protection.

Brad Little, Vice President & Managing Director – APAC, as Arlo said:

Our users wanted easy-to-understand subscription options to help them protect their homes without calculating monthly subscription costs per camera, and we listened.

We’ve covered Arlo product news before as well as reviewing some of them as well. We noted then that the products came with a three-month subscription to Arlo Smart Elite.

What do you get for your money?

The smart AI functions from the previous Smart plans have been brought over to the new Secure Plans. These include:

  • Up to 2K or 4K Cloud-based Video Recording – depending on their plan and camera, customers can view 30 days of recordings on the secure Arlo cloud in their camera’s highest video resolution anytime on their phone, Amazon or Google smart display device.
  • Smart Interactive Notifications – Notifications or an animated preview of a notification video can be sent to customers via their smartphone for their action.
  • Advanced Object Detection – Visual artificial intelligence allows for better detection and differentiation of people, packages, vehicles, and animals.
  • Smoke and CO Alarm Detection – Get notified when the camera hears a smoke or CO alarm triggered.
  • Cloud-based Activity Zones – Users can reduce unwanted notifications by highlighting areas on the property where they want motion to be detected.
  • Call a Friend – Customers can instantly call a friend through the Arlo App from their notification screen with one tap.
  • 24/7 Premium Support – Connect with Arlo’s technical support team whenever needed via phone, chat, or through the support centre.

Arlo Secure plans start at S$13.99 a month to support unlimited cameras in the home, with the option to serve a single camera for just S$4.49 a month. There is only one Arlo Secure Plus plan for unlimited cameras at S$21.99 a month.
