Apple's mixed reality headset is said to have a high power draw due to its advanced features.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that Apple will ship the mixed reality headset with the same 96W power charger that comes with the 14-inch MacBook Pro. This is in line with Kuo's previous reports on the mixed reality headset having a processor that has the same computing power level as the Mac.

Kuo reported last month that the mixed reality headset will have 3D sensors which are more advanced than those on the iPhone and iPad. With the mixed reality headset expected to have at least two processors, ultra high-resolution displays and features to handle games in high-quality virtual reality, the CPU and GPU demands are likely to lead to higher power draw.

Apple is reportedly launching the mixed reality headset at the end of the year with shipments only picking up in Q1 2023.
