Apple's Live Photos now compatible with iOS Facebook app
Apple's Live Photos feature is now compatible with the Facebook iOS app. Starting today, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus users will be able to share their Live Photos on Facebook, and any user with an iOS 9 device will be able to experience them.
Live Photos is a new feature found in the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus that turns a still photo into a moving three second image, complete with sound. With this update, anyone with a device running iOS 9 or later will be able to enjoy Live Photos on the Facebook app just by pressing on the photo.
Live Photos is already compatible with the tumblr iOS app.
How to Post a Live Photo on Facebook
- From the News Feed, click Photo and select your Live Photo (look for the concentric Live Photo circle in the corner)
- Before you hit Post, tap on the lower right hand corner of the photo where it says “Live” - this will ensure you upload in the Live format.
