Apple's AirPods still on track to be launched this year

In case you missed it, Apple delayed the availability of the AirPods as it requires " a little more time". Due to the lack of information on the delay, it fueled speculation that the AirPods might be released next year. However, AppleInsider is confident that it would be launched before the end of the year.

According to an internal source, there is no official delay until January for the shipment of the AirPods. In fact, some demo units are already available in Apple Stores and sales staff have received training on the product. 

AppleInsider -We're ready to go any time," one retail source said. "We've got a few pairs for customer demonstration that we're just waiting on the word to start with."

The AirPods were unveiled alongside the iPhone 7 in September. It is compatible with any device running iOS 10, WatchOS 3 or macOS Sierra. It can last up to five hours on a single charge and its carrying case can provide battery life up to 25 hours.
