AppleCare+ now costs 57% more for the new Apple Watch Series 4

AppleCare+ for the Apple Watch Series 4 is priced at S$138.

Apple has quietly bumped up the price of the AppleCare+ for the Apple Watch Series 4.

While the AppleCare+ will cost S$88 for the Apple Watch Series 3, the same warranty package for the latest watch model will cost you an additional S$50. The service fee for accidental damage coverage remains at S$98, which AppleCare+ covers up to two incidents.

If you have pre-ordered or are considering buying the Apple Watch Series 4, do add the AppleCare+ in the cart as it extends warranty coverage to two years from the original purchase date of your smartwatch. Why is this important? Well, let's take a look at the out-of-warranty service fees for the Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 3:

The out-of-warranty service fee has increased significantly from S$334 to S$428 for the GPS aluminium models. That's a bump of S$94. For the cellular aluminium models, the price increase is S$80 from S$428 to S$508. 

Apple also increased the repair fees for the iPhone XS Max; out-of-warranty service fee for other damages is a whopping S$888!
