A prominent Apple leaker, l0vetodream, has revealed that Apple will be upsizing the iMac.
According to l0veotdream, Apple will be upsizing the current 27-inch display. However, he stopped short at specifying the size of this new iMac.
His private tweet, which is in Chinese, when translated, says:
The iMac's screen is really big, bigger than the biggest one.
The iMac has never been larger than 27 inches. However, Apple did make a 30-inch Apple Cinema Display and the Pro Display XDR is 32 inches.
Word on the street is Apple is also looking up upsize the smaller 21.5-inch iMac. It will likely have a 24-inch display to bring it in line with today's users and expectations (24-inch monitors are the world's most popular).
Earlier, it was rumoured that the new iMac will sport a radical redesign with slab-sided edges and different colours.
Apple is expected to give its iMacs a thorough refresh this year as it looks to transition its entire Mac lineup to its custom silicon.
