Apple unlikely to launch any generative AI product or service in 2024

Apple is unlikely to launch generative AI next year according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo claims Apple is "significantly behind its competitors" in generative AI and "there is no sign that Apple will integrate AI edge computing and hardware products in 2024."

This comes as no surprise as Apple CEO Tim Cook has said several times that there are "a number of issues that need to be sorted" with AI.

Nevertheless, he also admitted that AI is important and that Apple would continue to integrate AI into its products but "on a very thoughtful basis."

Bloomberg reported two weeks ago that Apple is testing a ChatGPT-like tool and other generative AI tech. In addition, Apple might make a "significant" AI announcement in 2024

Separately, Kuo also made some comments about the Vision Pro headset. He said that production and shipments are expected to be "quite small" next year and will not have any boost to Apple's stock price.
