Year after year, Apple never fails to set a new sales record and its latest pair of iPhones certainly lives up to expectations!

In an official statement to CNBC, Apple said that it is on track to hit a new record for the iPhone's first weekend sales. This is not surprising considering that Apple's new rose gold iPhone is the most popular choice for consumers worldwide including Singapore.

CNBC - "Customer response to iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus has been extremely positive and preorders this weekend were very strong around the world," the company said in a statement. "We are on pace to beat last year's 10 million unit first-weekend record when the new iPhones go on sale Sept. 25."

Apple achieved four million pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in the first twenty four hours last year and went on to sell 10 million units in three days on its first weekend sales. To find out what's new in this year's iPhones, do check out our round-up article.
