Apple said to have quality issues with the rear camera lenses on the iPhone 14
Apple is said to have encountered another component issue with its iPhone 14.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the Apple iPhone 14 is having coating-crack quality issues with the rear camera lenses. The batch of camera lenses is from Genius and Apple has transferred the order of 10 million lenses to Largan.
The impact from Genius' iPhone 14 rear camera lenses is minimal as Kuo believes Largan can fulfill the order and close the supply gap. Kuo expects Genius to fix the lens coating quality issues within the next two months. Even if Genius fails to resolve the issue, Largan is still able to take in more orders from Apple.
Kuo reported a week ago that Apple is experiencing supply issues with the display and memory components. However, there should be "limited impact" on the mass production of the iPhone 14.
