As part of its Earth Day celebrations, Apple has just announced its second disassembly robot named Daisy.

Daisy was designed to efficiently reclaim the valuable and recyclable materials that are used to build iPhones.

It was designed based on the lessons learned from Liam, Apple's first disassembly robot which was announced in 2016.

According to Apple, Daisy can remove and sort components at a higher quality than traditional recyclers.

On top of that, Daisy is fast too, and can take apart up to 200 iPhones per hour.

Daisy is part of Apple's continuing efforts to be more clean and green. Recently, the company announced that it is globally powered by 100% clean energy.

One of its next goal is to ensure that all of its products are built using recycled materials.
