As we near the April's halfway mark, it now looks like an April launch for the highly rumoured and anticipated 15-inch MacBook Air is unlikely.
Earlier this year, display analyst Ross Young said that an early April launch was likely for the rumoured device.
However, Young just tweeted to his subscribers that Apple has ramped up production once more and admitted that he is now unsure when the device might be announced.
The analyst said:
Don’t know the precise launch timing, but would assume late April/early May.
However, some are sceptical about this timeline. For one, it's unlikely Apple will announce a new 15-inch MacBook Air via press release. Also, Apple hasn't said anything about a spring event and it looks increasingly unlikely that one will happen.
Instead, it now looks like Apple will unveil the 15-inch MacBook Air at WWDC 2023.
As for the device itself, many believe the 15-inch MacBook Air will essentially be a larger version of the current 13.6-inch version. The two will have a similar design and aesthetic, except that the 15-inch version will be larger.
Looks like we'll have to wait until WWDC 2023 to find out if that's true. WWDC 2023, in case you missed the news, will happen this year from 5 June to 9 June.
