Apple rumored to make the iPhone 7 between 6.0 to 6.5mm thin

Apple is rumored to be introducing new iPhones as thin as 6mm next year.

Although Apple is two days away from releasing new iPhones, the rumor mill is already churning out reports on next year's iPhones!

According to a note released by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is believed to be making its iPhones for 2016 thinner; it could measure between 6.0mm and 6.5mm thin. This would make the iPhone 7 as thin as the current iPad Air 2 and iPod Touch which are 6.1mm thin!

Kuo also claims that Apple will continue to use the same Force Technology (or 3D Touch Display) on next year's iPhones. Future iPhones have the potential to be thinner due to advancements in glass-on-glass solutions, which is the main reason he believes that hindered Apple from delivering a 6mm thin iPhone this year.

Leaked case renders and schematics of the upcoming iPhones suggest that the new iPhones to be thicker; the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus could be 0.1mm and 0.03mm thicker respectively.
