Apple rumored to announce new iPhone SE in August and iPhone 8 in October

Apple is rumored to be planning two events this year to launch new iPhone models.

According to iGeneration, a source claims that Apple is planning an "event" next month to launch the new iPhone SE. As for the iPhone 8, the launch is expected to be in October. The new iPhone SE is said to be more affordable with a starting price of 399 euros (~S$629). The iPhone SE, which was announced in March 2016, had a retail price of S$658 at launch

With no leaks in the supply chain or rumors about a new 4-inch iPhone model in the pipeline, it is highly unlikely that we would be seeing a new iPhone SE model this year although Apple could potentially introduce minor component upgrades (e.g. processor) in the same chassis to target price-sensitive markets.

The October launch of the iPhone 8 is not surprising; multiple reports have suggested that the handset could be delayed due to technical issues and supply issues of key components
