The iPhone battery replacement program, which Apple rolled out after several customers accused the company of deliberately slowing the performance of older models to force them to upgrade their devices, will expire at the end of the year. When it expires, customers have to pay a higher fee to replace the battery.

While the replacement fee under the program currently costs S$38, it will be revised to S$69 from 1 January 2019. This applies to the iPhone SE, iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 6s/6s Plus, iPhone 7/7Plus and iPhone 8/8 Plus. As for the iPhone X, the replacement fee will increase to S$99.

Do note that these prices apply only to battery repairs made by Apple Orchard Store. Pricing may differ if you go to any of the Apple Authorized Service Providers.
