Apple is said to be working on at least three augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (AR) devices according to Bloomberg.
In Mark Gurman's latest Power On newsletter, he claims there are three AR/VR devices which are actively in development at Apple. They have the codenames N301, N602 and N421. Gurman reported on N301 and N421 in June 2020 when he detailed the development process of these devices.
N301 is the much anticipated mixed reality headset which Apple is rumoured to be launching in January 2023. Gurman says the N301 will be called "Apple Reality Pro", which happens to be one of the three trademarks that Apple applied in several countries.
N602 is tipped to be the successor of the Apple Reality Pro, and may be more affordable. The Apple Reality Pro is expected to priced above US$2,000 due to the internal technologies used Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the second-generation device could launch in 2025.
N421 is believed to be the mainstream AR glasses, and it is said to be in the early stage of development. Its launch could be a few years away.
