Apple is investing a lot of resources into its Arcade game subscription service.

According to the Financial Times, Apple is reportedly spending "several million dollars each" on more than 100 games which translates to a budget of over $500 million. In addition, Apple is said to be offering an "extra incentive" for game developers if their game titles remain exclusive to Apple Arcade.

Besides providing funds to game developers, Apple is also believed to be providing engineering and tools for game developers to deploy their game engines across Apple's operating systems.

Apple announced the Arcade game subscription service for iOS, Mac and Apple TV last month. It is slated for launch later this year in more than 150 countries with 100 new and exclusive games.
