Apple reportedly signed deal with DHX Media to create new "Peanuts" content
Apple has made another high-profile deal for its upcoming video streaming service which is slated for launch in 2019.
According to Variety, Apple has made a deal with DHX Media to create new "Peanuts" content which will include the original series, specials and shorts. There will also be exclusive original short-form STEM content featuring astronaut Snoopy.
The partnership with DHX Media and its subsidiary Peanuts Worldwide lends credence to an earlier report by the Wall Street Journal that Apple is focusing on family-friendly content for its video streaming service. Apple also signed a multi-year content partnership with Oprah Winfrey to create original programs.
