Apple releases update to fix charging issues on new iPhones
Apple has just released iOS 12.0.1, the first official update to iOS 12.
iOS 12.0.1 fixes some high profile bugs. The most important of all is the charging issue that some caused some iPhone XS and XS Max devices to not charge when connected to a Lightning cable.
The other bug that it fixes has to do with Wi-Fi. It was found that the new iPhones would rejoin a 2.4GHz network even when a faster 5GHZ one was available. iOS 12.0.1 fixes this.
According to the change notes, iOS 12.0.1 also fixes some other minor bugs including subtitles not appearing properly in videos and Bluetooth not working for some devices.
To update to iOS 12.0.1, simply go to Settings, General, and then Software Update. iOS 12.0.1 is available right now.
