First published on July 12:

It has taken a while but Apple's new Powerbeats Pro is finally coming to Singapore. You can pre-order them now and they will be available on 19th July 2019.

Apple's new designed for sports true wireless headphones were first announced in early April and was said to be coming here in May. However, and much to the dismay of many, it was delayed.

As a recap, the Powerbeats Pro is powered by the same H1 chip found in the latest second-generation AirPods.

It also has an IPX4 water protection rating, which means it's resistant to water splashes from any direction. In the real world, this means they should hold up well to rain and sweat.

To ensure wearing comfort during high-intensity workouts, the Powerbeats Pro will come with adjustable, secure-fit earhooks with multiple ear-tip options.

Finally, the Powerbeats Pro has a battery life of up to 9 hours. The charging case provides a combined total of over 24 hours of playback.

The Powerbeats Pro is priced at S$328 and is available for pre-order now. They will be available at the Apple Store from 19th July.

Update on 18th July 2019:

After spending a couple of days with the Powerbeats Pro, I can say that it solves one of the biggest issues with the AirPods, and that's fit. Thanks to the earhooks and in-ear tips, the Powerbeats Pro fits like a glove and stays securely in your ears. It sounds richer and fuller too.
