Apple is said to be ready to bring its mobile payment service to the web at WWDC 2016.

According to Digital Trends, sources claim that Apple will be making an official announcement at WWDC 2016. Compared to PayPal, the sources said that Apple Pay for the web is quicker and easier to use. It is unknown at the moment whether it will require a certain browser or device to work.

Earlier this year, Re/code reported that Apple had reached out to potential partners on expanding Apple Pay to the Internet. It is said to work via the Safari browser on the iPhone and iPad with Touch ID.
