Apple now accepts PayPal as a payment option on App Store, Apple Music, iTunes, iBooks and iCloud; however, the new payment option is limited to customers in Canada and Mexico. Fret not as according to PayPal, this option will be rolled out to the United States and other countries “very soon”.

According to PayPal, their payment method can be selected from the Apple ID account settings, which can be accessed “in the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes [and iBooks] from their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac, or on iTunes from their PC.” This will also enable the convenience of PayPal One Touch for Apple ID account owners.

As observed by Fortune, this unexpected agreement by Apple and PayPal will mean a portion of Apple’s users bypassing Apple Pay service. This is because once the new payment option is set up, all future purchases made on the Apple ID account will be charged to the PayPal account. Both Apple and PayPal are still mum on the exact details of their agreement, especially information on any revenue-sharing model.
