Apple may not ship a charger and EarPods with the iPhone 12, but it is said to be including a new charging cable.

Leaked photos published by ChargerLAB show a braided USB-C to Lightning cable with a new gray and white tone. The braided design is in contrast to today's rubber-coated cables, and is expected to be more durable due to the extra reinforcement at the end points.

ChargerLAB tested the cable and claims that it features an original Apple-certified Made for iPhone design. In addition, the cable has 8 silver contacts with rhodium-plated ruthenium which is more resistant to corrosion.

Apple currently offers a braided Thunderbolt Pro cable, a black braided Lightning cable for the Mac Pro, and a braided power cable for the HomePod. If the iPhone 12 is bundled with the new braided USB-C to Lightning cable, customers may have the option to purchase an upcoming 20W power adapter that Apple is likely to sell as an optional accessory.
