Apple may launch new iPads on 4 April at the Apple Park campus

Apple has held a launch event in March to launch new hardware for the past few years. However, things could change this year due to the opening of Apple's new campus.

Independent online publication Apple World Today (AWT) speculates that Apple could hold a launch event for the iPad to coincide with the opening of its Apple Park campus next month. AWT also expects the new iPads to be available for purchase on the same day of the event, which is rumored to be on 4th April.

DigiTimes has previously reported that Apple could delay the launch of the iPads to the second half of the year. A separate report cited poor yield rates of the 10nm chips powering the new iPads as the reason for the delay.

The iPad refresh is rumored to bring a bezel-less design and no physical home button to four potential new models, which are the 7.9-inch iPad Pro, a more affordable 9.7-inch iPada 10.5-inch iPad Pro and a 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2. Apple is also believed to have plans to release a 128GB iPhone SE and red variants of the iPhone 7/7 Plus.
