Apple launches SSD service program for 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar)
Aside from the iPhone X display module issue, Apple has identified another issue with its 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar).
Apple revealed that a limited number of 128GB and 256GB SSD units used in the 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) units have an issue which could lead to data loss and failure of the drive. The affected devices were sold between June 2017 and June 2018.
The company will send an email to customers, who have registered their devices with Apple, to inform them of this program. If you bought the 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) during this period, head over to the source link below and enter the serial number to see if it is eligible for the program. +
Customers who have encountered this issue and paid for servicing fees prior to the launch of the SSD service program can contact Apple for a refund. The SSD service program covers affected MacBook Pro models for three years after the first retail sale of the unit.
