The lunar new year is coming. And according to the lunar calendar, the next year is the Year of the Tiger.

To celebrate it, Apple Japan will be giving limited edition AirTags to iPhone customers. The AirTags will feature an engraving of a Tiger and, as you can see from the photo above, looks pretty cute.

Only 20,000 of these special AirTags will made, which makes them quite special and rare. Curiously, to get them, customers in Japan will have to purchase either an iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, or iPhone SE on either 2 or 3 January.

Why this promotion doesn't extend to Apple's newer iPhone 13 phones is beyond me.

In addition to the limited edition Tiger AirTag, customers will also get a ¥6,000 (~S$72) gift card.

The limited edition AirTag is sweet and one can only hope that Apple extends this promotion to us here in Singapore too. We celebrate the Year of the Tiger too, you know.
