Apple is believed to not only be going bigger for the display of the iPhone 16 Pro, it is also believed to be going brighter.

Tipster Instant Digital shared on Weibo that the Apple iPhone 16 Pro will support up to 1,200 nits of typical SDR brightness. This is an increase of 20% over existing iPhones and even the recently announced iPad Pro (M4). However, it is still a step or two behind some Android flagship phones such as the OnePlus 12 which tops off at 1,600 nits during normal phone usage.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 lineup in September. So far, rumours indicate that the iPhone 16 Pro will be getting significant upgrades such as 5x optical zoom, a new ultra-wide camera, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, a bigger Action button, a new Capture button, a polished titanium finish with two new colour options, new anti-reflective coating on camera components to reduce lens flare and ghosting issues, and slimmer MagSafe parts.
