Purported dummy units of the Apple iPhone 16 lineup have been revealed by tipster Sonny Dickson.

These dummy units, which are milled from aluminium, are typically used by accessory makers to ensure their cases fit the actual devices.

Similar to the leaked CAD renders of the iPhone 16 Pro, these dummy units reveal the new Capture button that is coming to all iPhone 16 models. The Capture button is located on the same side as the Power button and will likely be used to help users with photography and/or videography.

Another thing worth noting is that the dummy units for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max appear to be larger, this is likely because of the rumoured bump in screen size for both models.

As for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, another noteworthy change is the return to the vertical camera layout, where the cameras are aligned vertically one below the other. The iPhone 11 was the first standard iPhone model to adopt the vertical rear camera layout before Apple changed the orientation on the iPhone 13.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 lineup sometime later this year in September.
