Apple is rumoured to be bumping up the RAM for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.

Research firm TrendForce's latest report shares some purported specs of the Apple iPhone 14 lineup which include 6GB RAM across the board. In comparison, the current iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 have 4GB RAM.

While the iPhone 14 Pro models will use the faster and more power efficient LPDDR5, the non-Pro models will stick with LPDDR4X. TrendForce added that the iPhone 14 Pro models will be powered by A16 chips while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will run on A15.

Other rumoured specs include a 48MP main camera for the Pro models, a steel chassis for the Pro models, and an aluminum chassis for the non-Pro models. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made a similar prediction in March.

Due to the Covid-19 lockdowns in China, the iPhone 14 development is reportedly behind schedule. It remains to be seen if Apple and its suppliers can accelerate product development efforts.
