Apple iPad Pro to run full-sized side-by-side apps and offers 64GB base storage?

The Apple iPad Pro is said to sport full-sized side-by-side apps to maximize its 12.9-inch display.

More information on the much fabled iPad Pro surfaced one day before Apple's media event.

According to 9to5Mac, sources who have used or are familiar with the iPad Pro claim that the 12.9-inch display will give the tablet "Pro" capabilities such as supporting two full-sized apps in iOS 9's landscape split-screen mode. In addition, the base model for the iPad Pro will come with 64GB internal storage space unlike the measly 16GB found on current iPads.

Other reported specs include an A9X processor which is described as having a "large" leap over the the current A8X in the iPad Air 2, 4G LTE support, three color options (gold, silver and space gray), four stereo speakers and a single Lightning port.

The alleged Bluetooth stylus and revamped iPad keyboard will not be bundled with the iPad Pro. This means that consumers have to purchase the accessories separately. There are two versions of the iPad keyboard; one doubles as a case while the other is modeled after the Wireless Keyboard for Macs.

Last, but not least, Apple is reportedly behind schedule in manufacturing the iPad Pro. Pre-orders are expected to commence in October with shipment starting in late November.
