Apple releases iOS 15.0.2 with Find My and CarPlay fixes, a security update, and more
Apple has just released iOS 15.0.2 which includes some important updates.
According to Apple, iOS 15.0.2 includes fixes to Find My where AirTags might not properly appear in the Items tab, CarPlay where audio apps might fail to open or disconnect intermittently during playback, and photos being inadvertently deleted when they are saved from Messages and the associated thread is deleted.
Here is the changelog from Apple:
Photos saved to your library from Messages could be deleted after removing the associated thread or message
iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe may not connect to Find My
AirTag might not appear in the Find My Items tab
CarPlay may fail to open audio apps or disconnect during playback
Device restore or update may fail when using Finder or iTunes for iPhone 13 models
Additionally, iOS 15.0.2 also fixes a security flaw that could allow an attacker to exploit the IOMobileFrameBuffer to “execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges,” and take over your device.
