Apple HomePod with 7-inch display said to launch in 2024

The next Apple HomePod might come with a 7-inch display.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims Apple is expected to launch a redesigned HomePod with a 7-inch display in the first half of 2024. The built-in display is likely supplied by Chinese company Tianma. Kuo says the redesigned HomePod with 7-inch display will offer "tighter integration with Apple's other hardware products".

Bloomberg reported in April 2022 that Apple is working on a hybrid device with the features of the HomePod, Apple TV and FaceTime camera. Bloomberg added in August 2022 that Apple is working on "at least four new smart home devices in its labs, which include a high-end HomePod, a new HomePod mini, a product for the kitchen that combines an iPad and a speaker, and a product for the living room that combines the Apple TV, camera and HomePod.

In an updated note earlier this year, Bloomberg claims Apple is working on several smart home devices which include a low-end iPad that can control thermostats and lights, smart home displays that are bigger than the entry-level iPad, and a new Apple TV model.
