Apple hit with class action lawsuit over faulty MacBook keyboards

Two MacBook Pro users have filed a class action lawsuit against Apple claiming the company knew about the defective buttery switch keyboard design at or before the product's launch in 2015.

The class action lawsuit was filed in the Northern District Court of California last week and covers several MacBook models from 2015 to 2016. The filing describes how "thousands" of MacBook and MacBook Pro users experienced some form of failure with the keyboards, no thanks to small amounts of dust or debris which hampered normal switch behavior and making keystrokes go unregistered.

If the MacBook model is out of warranty, the user has to fork out hundreds of dollars for the repair. The class action lawsuit demands damages and refunds from Apple for users who have paid to replace their keyboards.
