Apple grew market share by 34% thanks to the AirPods Pro (2022)

The Apple AirPods Pro 2.

The second-generation AirPods Pro helped Apple maintain its lead in the true wireless stereo (TWS) market.

According to data from research firm Canalys, Apple saw a 34% increase in shipments in Q3 2022 and attained a 31% market share. Canalys estimated Apple shipped 4.2 million units of the AirPods Pro (2022), which accounts for 20% of all AirPods shipments.

On the other hand, Samsung saw a 25% drop in shipments of its Galaxy Buds. Canalys says the lower shipment numbers is due to the late August shipping date and higher selling price of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro.

We reviewed the AirPods Pro (2022) and found its transparency mode to be in a league of its own. It also boasts respectable sound quality with incredible noise cancelling. However, the second-generation AirPods Pro does not support Apple Lossless audio and its bass could be tighter.
