KGI Securities expects the upcoming 6.1-inch LCD iPhone model to be a hot seller this year.

According to its estimates, Apple will sell 100 million units of the 6.1-inch iPhone model. The demand for this model is likely to be driven by its price, which is said to be in the same range as the phones it is replacing - the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted the price of the 6.1-inch iPhone model to be between US$649 to US$749.

To keep costs to a minimum, the 6.1-inch iPhone model will use less premium components such as a LCD display, an aluminium frame and a single camera module on the rear. However, the 6.1-inch iPhone model will sport the same full-screen design of the iPhone X and Face ID technology
