Apple is exiting yet another market - the wireless router.

In a statement to 9to5Mac, Apple confirms that it is discontinuing the AirPort base station products which include the AirPort Express, the AirPort Extreme and both models of the AirPort Time Capsule. There is no price drop for the discontinued products:

  • AirPort Express - S$148
  • AirPort Extreme - S$288
  • AirPort Time Capsule (3TB) - S$588
  • AirPort Time Capsule (2TB) - S$448

If you want one of these products, you still can purchase them through Apple.com, Apple's retail store and Apple Authorized Resellers while supplies last. To assist customers in purchasing third party solutions, Apple has published a support document on choosing a Wi-Fi router to use with its devices.
